My names are Roger Ogweno Ndege from Kenya(Africa) a Swahili native and educated through English based curriculum. Am perfectly fluent in both Swahili and English, with skills in microsoft-excel, Microsoft-word, data-entry and am ready to show my passion. Of note is my position as a translator at Appen Buttler Hill. My main task at Appen is quality assessment of audio and scripted Dholuo content plus translation/transcription services on a freelance basis. I am also involved with Trusted Translations and Linguistica International and I do translation for them in English-Swahili and Swahili-English language sets. I have done 20,000 words of translation between the two companies so far on a freelance basis. Translate Plus, a translation company in London have also contracted me on a one off transcription, translation, proofreading and time coding of a 30 minute video and due to my diligence plus good work on the task they have decided to accept me in their team. Also of note is my work with INVEDYN a language testing company and I was involved with testing for level 3 language speakers in Swahili. I also transcribe for Scribie a freelance transcription company. In this role, I am responsible for transcribing six minute audio in English within a two hour TAT and am also a reviewer on the same. I believe with the knowledge so far gained in this field I can be of value to your company and am readily available to offer my services. I would like to join a company that will accept me with my working experience in translation but if you do offer training that can further enhance my skills in this field, I know with my penchant for hard work and determination I can be a valuable asset.
